THE 30TH BRAZILIAN CONGRESS OF COSMETOLOGY
The 30th edition of the Brazilian Congress of Cosmetology will take place from 23-25 May 2017 in São Paulo, Brazil. Organised by the Brazilian Society of Cosmetology (Associação Brasileira de Cosmetologia, ABC) since 1979, the event includes scientific papers (lectures and posters) from the Brazilian scientific community as well as lectures from renowned national and international experts. ABC says this is the most important event in Latin America and is used by companies to launch new ingredients and services for the cosmetic industry.
There are a number of trends and niche markets within the global industry that are driving growth and revenue based on specific consumer requirements and concerns so the theme chosen for this year’s congress is Innovation & trend: the consumers’ influence. The main focus will be understanding the customer decision making process and what factors affect this, the goal being to help delegates develop marketing strategies to target consumer preferences and needs.
Topics discussed will include halal and vegan cosmetics, luxury goods markets, sensory appeal and skin care for oncology patients.
Confirmed specialist speakers include:
- Dib Ahmad El Tarrass (FAMBRAS) – Halal cosmetics
- Amy Wyatt (Chanel) – Luxury goods market for cosmetics
- Dr Charles Spence (University of Oxford) – Sensory appeal for cosmetics
- Lidia Morus (Dermagroup) – Skin care for oncology patients.
