KOSMET DATABASE OF SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE REACHES 80,000 ENTRIES
The IFSCC’s KOSMET literature database is an extremely helpful tool. This unique online database specialises in cosmetic science and industry information and is produced and fully owned by the IFSCC. KOSMET concentrates on cosmetic science and technology, dermatological and toxicological literature subjects as well as other cosmetic related scientific publications. It provides literature references, usually with an abstract in English, plus information and author/publisher/organiser contact details, so you know where to go if you want to find out more.
The Database was first set up in the early days of the IFSCC. By October 2002 it had reached 26,000 entries and was transferred to a more sophisticated format: text entries were enlarged, sources were systematically broadened and complete address references for sources were added.
From 2002, each year around 3,000-4,000 literature entries have been added and today we are proud to say we have reached 80,000 scientific entries! That’s a lot of valuable information available from a single source.
Amongst the technical literature and periodicals used for abstracting, proceedings from national and international conferences and congresses are also included, which gives KOSMET real added value as these documents are often only available to event participants.
Simply choose your keywords and search the database under www.KOSMET.com for new literature abstract entries; eg from the 29th IFSCC Congress in Orlando in 2016.
Subscribers to the database can register up to 20 keywords. Each new entry is then checked for your keywords and every month you receive a free update alert telling you how many new entries cover your keywords.
If you haven’t signed up yet what are you waiting for? Go to How to access KOSMET and get started.
