IFSCC 2016 CONGRESS ATTRACTS 1600+ INTERNATIONAL ATTENDEES

The US SCC are delighted to have hosted the IFSCC’s hugely well attended 2016 Congress. With over 1600 international attendees, together we went Beyond Dreams into New Frontiers.

“The IFSCC is the only global organization dedicated to the science and scientists of cosmetics…nowhere else will you find the breadth, depth and quality of science presented as IFSCC Congresses and Conferences,” rallied IFSCC President 2015-2016, Philippe Auderset.

Our keynote speakers led the way with thought provoking addresses that stimulated the imagination of Congress attendees so that when they returned to work, they would be inspired and ready to innovate with new ideas that help push this industry forward.

We would sincerely like to thank Dr Paul Anastas (Yale University, Dr Guive Balooch (L’Oréal Technology Incubator), Catherine Ehrenberger (Amway Corporation), Dr Josh Ghaim (Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies), Carl Haney (The Estée Lauder Companies), Dr Roger Hanlon (Brown University), Dr Julia Oh (Jackson Laboratory for Genome Medicine) and Dr Robert Sayre (Rapid Precision Testing Laboratories) for helping us raise the bar on the level of science at this year’s event.

The science continued with a number of remarkable podium presentations that catered to knowledge seekers’ hunger for the latest research on cosmetic science. There was also our first ever Innotech – Connect Zone, where podium presenters and universities discussed emerging technology transfer. This was a definite hit!

The social events offered at the Congress were also highly regarded additions. Wowed by the Opening Ceremony offering a South Beach style atmosphere poolside at the Dolphin Resort, attendees took advantage of the networking opportunities as guests were seen mingling throughout the evening. Then the Social Night at Epcot awed attendees with delicious food and drinks followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

The Congress closed with an Award Ceremony and culturally diverse performances at the Gala Dinner before attendees partied the night away at Club IFSCC.

We are happy to have had this opportunity to host an IFSCC Congress. Thank you so much to our sponsors – an event of this magnitude would not have been possible without their generous contributions.
