COSCHEM CELEBRATES ITS 2016 DIPLOMA STUDENTS

The prize giving for the 2016 Coschem diploma students took place on 6 February at Italian restaurant Gino’s Paesa in the south of Johannesburg, South Africa.

As Coschem’s education officer and education committee chair, Jill Gardiner is extremely passionate about the diploma course and the students’ success. She kicked off the formalities at this year’s prize giving with an interesting discussion on how we need to adjust to our surroundings to be successful. “What you focus on is what you perceive and ultimately achieve,” she said.

Megan Bennett won the award for the Top Module 1 Student while the Top Module 2 Student award went to Karien Burger, who also won the Norman Sanan award. Burger received a cash prize and complimentary ticket to attend the 2017 Coschem Scientific Conference (13-14 September). The Pharmaceutical Cosmetic Review Essay Prize was presented to Marcel van Rooyen and Stephanie Gompel picked up the Sensient Creativity Award.
