The IFSCC is pleased to announce the 2017 Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Prize competition. This prize is granted in years of an IFSCC Conference to enable a young scientist at attend the Conference.

The 2017 winner will be invited to attend the 2017 IFSCC Conference in Seoul, South Korea October 23-15, 2017. The cost of travel, accommodations, meals and registration fees up to, but not exceeding, CHF (Swiss Francs) 5,000 will be reimbursed by the IFSCC.  Any Member in good standing of an IFSCC Member Society, 35 years of age or younger on the date of entry form and essay submission, may apply.  Their Member Society must also be a Member in good standing of the IFSCC.

Applicants must submit an essay in English between 500 and 3000 words on one of the following topics:

  1. Describe your vision of cosmetics over the next few years
  2. Is Regulation a constraint or a source of innovation?
  3. How cosmetic science can contribute to the improvement of society
  4. My first year in the cosmetic field: problems and future hopes
  5. How can cosmetics improve human health?

To enter to win the 2017 Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Prize, the entrant should email a copy of their essay, along with a completed Entry Form, by 1 June 2017 to, cc’ing the President of their Society. Applicants must explain in what capacity they are actively employed in a technical role in the cosmetics industry, or related academic field. They must also prove that they are 35 years or younger at the date the entry form and essay are submitted.
